Has anyone ever played another MMO with a similar combat system or patron/vassal system as Asheron's Call? What about another game with PvP where you can loot the defeated opponent? Or, a game that is fast to travel or combat in... WoW is so slow, I feel so much time is wasted running or even riding the travel animals.
I dunno, AC just seems so unique to me and it's odd to think that no one has immitated its physics or combat design inside another MMO.

If there is, I haven't found it.
One of the issues that makes AC so unique is the graphics. Some complain that they are old and dated, however, it is these old graphics that allow AC to do things that newer games cannot.
AC is a Skill based game, not a class based game. Unique there.
AC allows you to be surrounded by Olthoi and whup them. Unique there.
AC allows you to bump up Run to max. Unique there.
These items will stay unique to AC because the other games have 'pretty' graphics and that limits the amount of data flowing back and forth between client and server.

Yea, I completely forgot to mention the player development freedom... its truely free.. if a want to make a slingshot toting, war magic tossing, armor tinkerer... then I can do it... I'm not limited or forced to choose skills and abilities according to a skilltree. I really love that feature.
