help me please?

the last time i played asherons call was 7 years ago.

i just made my new account yesterday, but i cannot get into the game. i log in, choose a world, and then my computer does nothing.

yesterday it did download a file patch thing once, and my screen turned black for about .25 seconds, and then nothing.

please please please help. i want to play. i tried the userpreference thing where i changed the port number. in fact, i changed it 4 times, and it still does not help.

In all likelihood, you will need to port forward. Search these forums to find out how to set up your router correctly.

I have had the same problem. Turns out it is because of my modem. I'm on ADSL and some modems don't have the ability to download the patch, when you get the blue squiggly lines etc, becuse the modem needs to be able to run in what Turbine called NAT ( Network Address Translation). I have tried to reconfigure my modem without success. Check with your ISP to see if they can help. Hope this helps.
