Disconnected upon entering the game..

I played AC years ago and just realized there was a free trial. I'm very interested to see how the world has evolved but am having a major problem.

I have installed, set up my account, all that. I made a character and entered Morningthaw. The game updated/patched itself, then I'm in portal space while the game is loading. The tutorial room loads, the NPCs load, and everything seems fine, but my character is still surrounded by the "purple mist" while loading. After about 10 seconds, I get a message that I've been disconnected from the server. I have no firewall or anything like that that could interfere with AC.

I'm baffled. I would very much appreciate any insight and support.

Im having exact same issue. I too have no firewall running and no router or anti virus running.

This is typically caused by a port being closed. Check to ensure that Asheron's Call is allowed past the Windows Firewall (Start->Control Panel->Windows Firewall->Exceptions

If it is allowed past and you have a router, ensure that port 9000 is forwarded to your PC.

If you still are having trouble I have no idea. Sorry!

This is crap im havin same problem someone with an answer answer before im forced too leave before even payin for a subscription lol.
