I downloaded the free trial, installed it, signed up for an account and everything to this point went just fine. When I started up the game I put in my password and it asked me what realm I wanted to go to I chose one (this actually happened on several different realms) and then the screen went black with a pointer that I would think is the pointer for the game. On several occasions I let it sit there for close to an hour, just in case it was downloading updates, and nothing ever happened. Can someone perhaps let me know what I need to do. I am starting here before I contact customer support. I actually tried this on 2 different machines and got the same result. HELP!!!!

Hallo Gandaar,

From what I read it seems your firewall and/or anti virus protection is blocking the game. Make sure acclient.exe and aclauncher.exe are able to connect to the your comp and try again. This happens every month when a new patch is downloaded.

What OS are you running?

Thanks for the prompt responses. I am running Windows XP service pack 2 with all updates. I have also gone as far as turning off my firewall. I am at a loss and I really wanted to try this thing out I have heard good things about this game.

Does it go black before you even see the 2 vials?.. if you dont even get into the game to even try to connect after the launcher maybe it could be something with directx or graphics issue?

I don't know how technically savvy anybody here is, but I am including my dxdiag.txt in case anybody can use it to figure out the problem.

One guy in one post found out his modem was a router also, not sure if that helps you.
