View Full Version : Heart of Innocence--Getting Flagged

My allegiance-mates say that I must go through all the "sleuthing" required in the Oswald's Dirk quest to get the fir tree to open up and so I'll be flagged for the Heart of Innocence quest. However, when I started the investigation part tonight, the woman didn't say (as is written in various guides):

"My husband Jaleh is missing, I do not know where it is that he has gotten off to. He was last seen standing on the patio of the this building.

I know that he was meeting with a few people throughout the day, and when he did not return in the evening for our dinner I came looking for him. I did not find him. Please find my husband and let me know what happened to him."

Instead, she immediately skips to the following:

"Now that I know what happened to my husband there is much that must be done. I want to thank all those that helped find him. I will not go to his final resting place, along the road from the Obsidian Span toward Glendon Wood, for there is nothing there for me."

Now, Maggie's quest guide says that this text should appear at the end of the Oswald's Dirk quest--well, after one is flagged for it, not necessarily the very end--and so I'm confused about what to do. Do I need to run about, collecting all the clues, or can I just dive straight into the Heart of Innocence quest?

All I can think of is that you must have done all the flagging already (unless it really is messed up). Your easiest way to check should be simply to try and go into the portal for the dungeon, if you're allowed in, you should be good to go.

Yes, maybe you already flagged for the quest?

As long as you entered the Fir Tree at one point you should be ok. If you can enter the Heart of Innocence portal then you are flagged for the quest already.
