I have issues

I am trying to start playing AC again.

I have spent the last day downloading, updating and overall screwing around trying to get it to work. I started with a black screen after login and I have now gotten to where i can connect but can't patch. I never remember having this much trouble before. I have gone to the port forwarding website but still can not seem to get that to work.
Is this a typical set of problems now, and does anyone have any suggestions.

I use a siemsens speedstream-6520 router and don't have problems with other games.

AC does not use the same networking protocols as other games which is why AC has trouble and the other games do not.

You have a Siemens modem / router. This means you are most likely a DSL subscriber using NAPT. NAPT will not work with AC. It has to be NAT.
