I played AC for about 3 years, but left in late 2003. I've been missing the game lately, so I set up a trial account so I can see if my comp will run the game, and to see if I like the game changes. I'll try it for a couple of days, and then will probably migrate my old account and close the free account. I noticed that the system requirements say that the graphics card has to be DirectX 9 compliant. Is anyone successfully running on an older card? I have a feeling that I know the answer to that one... I set the new installation up on my husband's comp, since his card should work, but I'd rather play from my comp. I know I need to get a new graphics card, but I was hoping to put it off until this summer.

I got lucky...AC runs on both computers, including the one with the older graphics card. The older one is a bit laggy, but not that bad. The performance on the newer computer has been great so far.

After playing the free trial for a few days, I did decide to migrate one of my old accounts. I gave away everything (and I do mean everything) on the old account right before I quit in 2003. Is it against the CoC for me to transfer items/notes from my freebie account to the migrated one? Thought I'd better ask first. ;)

lol no its the same as having two accounts that you pay for.

Heres a question. If I were to say have two accounts, and buy two cottages and cancel one account, and use the first account to maintain it, and once in a while Reactivate the 2nd account, is that against the rules now?

People are doing that all over the place right now. I'm sure there are houses that haven't seen their owners in years, but they aren't available to paying players.

But, you can't get housing on a free trial account.
