Here's a question if my Account has the image of Asheron's Call TOD then do i need to upgrade to ToD? cuz um, I never ordered ToD. I had DM, and played the preview.

Another question... If its a free trial account and i choose not to cancel it. Do i have ToD and everything with it or do i need to pay the 19.99????
Any other payment methods possible? because I do not intend on keeping this account. I intend on playing and if i like it renewing my old Account when i got money.

If you want access to ToD content, and you probably will eventually, then you will need to upgrade your account.

The free trial is everything. If you don't cancel you get billed for the 13 bucks or so and you have full fledge ToD account.
> Any other payment methods possible?
Not really. You could have some give you the gift of AC but that is about it.

thats kinda stupid, dont ya think? i mean the people who play for free get the whole game, but people who paid money into the system before have to upgrade? I mean sure you buy the game you get 30 days free, but i'd rather get the deal the Trial accounts are getting. pay 12.95 and you get full access.

I would have priced them both the same but I think the issue comes about from time that they were created. Turbine and Direct 2 Drive were selling AC, D2D was digital only and Turbine was box only, for the same price. Since you can still get it from D2D at the same price I'm guessing they have some sort of contractual agreement as to price. The free trial came later at was priced at the subscription rate and since trials and existing customers don't mesh it wouldn't impact the deal.
Of course Comcast is offering deals on cable service I'm already getting that they don't give to me so enticing new customers with lower prices than old or existing customers isn't exactly revolutionary.

There is only one cable company. They do not perceive Direct TV a threat.
