Disturbing ta say the least. Learning that anyone can snap, at any time, anywhere...and the copy cats yet to come from this, I'm glad I finished college. To be a student, teacher, professor, any faculty member on any campus now, frightning. The paranoia from this event yet to come, saddens me.

That's pretty sad. Why is it that we live in a place where schools need as much security as prisons?! I mean, common. No matter how bad life gets, life is still good.

He was a real POS and if I were his parents, I'd be awfully ashamed of myself for being a horrible role model. There's much more I can say but I must keep a good reputation on these boards

Well they did say he was a bit mentally ill BUT because the actual massacre was premeditated, he probably wasn't at a psychotic state when he did the killings.

Cho's family are victims in a way too you know. I bet you that Cho's parents weren't feeling so great feeling to know that their son committed the worst massacre in the U.S.. And they also lost Cho.

LoL @ Thadda! And I wouldnt be surprised if Cho's family had to go into hiding. You so know their lives will never be the same.

I am very sad at the situation..All high Schools and colleges are affected by this tragic event. My high school is making an administrator go to all computers and take off all games that are violent related like with guns or killing, even bad language in em, I don't blame em but one teacher had told me that he woudnt be suprised that ME or anyone else at our school did tha same thing. O boy was i mad, i told him that jus cuz i got to this forum alot and play this game doesnt mean that i have a bad life and have mental issues. Holy crap im gonna be gone for 10 weeks this summer training to track down enemy's of the United Stated and sometimes kill them, i said what you gonna say about that lol.

That sucks for you guys because we play Call of Duty in our web programming class almost every day (during break) ;). Nothing really changed for us except that I've had a talk with my homebase teacher about how they should handle school lockdowns.

It's not that games are violent. It's that parents are too lazy to be a good role model and instead of interacting with their kids, they glide through life and you end up risking having dead beats like Cho. A lot of parents will say games and violence cause these problems but it's also related to their inefficiency as a care taker.

I'm surprised too because in asian families, there is usually strict discipline and honor. I would bet money he was from a wealthy family and he was not kept in check.

Thadda is exactly right.

I hate how parents are like that. They moan and cry saying that the government isn't doing enough to protect their children from harmful material. I don't see how hard it is to not buy violent games, movies, cartoons. They now have the freedom to block channels, block internet sites, and whatever they want.

And I don't think Cho's family was rich actually. His family ran a dry cleaning service or something like that.

Well, whatever the case was, I am positive there was no discipline for him.

Yea, I actually feel sry for his family bc im pretty sure they are nothing like him and they're probably getting alot of criticism from people. Well...Its over now and we should all be prepared for the next attack. Lol my school is definitely ready. They installed like four more cameras and hired a couple of security guys to watch all cameras at all times. And also next year the school is going to have a full time cop on duty to take care of traffic violations and such..

I dont think traffic violations are the reason. Sounds like the town wants more money.

Also, sounds like your school has a lot of money. is it high school or college? I can easily see a college affording an upgrade like that
