Crushing blow, biting strike, rends

What are they and how as a melee do I benefit from them? Do these features come on special weapons(quest) only or can I find these in the loot gen?

Biting Strike is quest items only I believe. Crushing blow is again, quest only(I think, unless your referring to Crippling Blow, which is an imbue).

Biting Strike and Crushing blow are weaker versions of the imbues. The actual effect can vary from quest weapon to quest weapon.

rends are best when you are killing a bunch of the same monster over and over without imperling or vulning.

Armor Rending(works different than other rends), Critical Strike, Crippling blow, Biting Strike, and Crushing blow do more damage if your target is imperil and vulned. The first three imbues are more powerful than the last 2 which are on quest items.
