Hello,

So I just did a 14 day free trial. I played DDO before, cancelled that acct.
I am using that acct now to log on for 14 day free trial. However, when i try to log in I receive the "Authentification failed. Please try again later." message.

The support page says that this means my account isnt activated yet, but when i go to account managing it says i have a subscription to AC.

any help appreciated

Well, there can be a number of reasons that youare having troubles. I noticed that you posted yesterday when the authentication server was down. You might simply have tried to enter AC at a time when no one could. The server is back up and running, you might just need to try again. Another reason you might be have troubles is if you have not configured your router correctly. Here is an except from a Turbine help page:

Routers are devices that allow you to have multiple computers on a single internet connection without having more than one IP from your ISP. Some routers do need to be configured to allow connections to connect to our games. To do this you will need to set up ports 9000 through 9013 UDP to the computer you wish to connect with.

If you are not sure how to do this you may be able to find guides for your router at http://www.portforward.com/

Hopefully this will help, if not, there is an AC help page on the official site and you can certainly post here again.

hey thanks for the response =)

I am at school right now, so I don't really have access to the router (don't know if it works that way on a university network).
but i have no problem connecting to other MMO's

I'm looking through this portforwarding site now to see if I am just not seeing what I should be.

I guess it had something to do with setting up the trial account on the account that I used for my DDO acct. I made a new one and everything worked fine. wierd.
