I heard DDO will be merging servers. Thought this might be of interest to anyone who has played it. There are some rules about how name conflicts will be resolved that you may want to check out.

I wonder if Turbine owns the losing server hardware or rents? And if owned if they'll be selling it off or re-using it for something?

DDO is a 'must group' type of game. with lower pops, quests were very hard to accomplish.

Also, the issues that cause AC not to be mergeable do not exist in DDO.

No housing.

Unique ID Tags.

I played it for a while but it never fit my solo and odd time type of playstyle.

I wish Turbine all the luck after the mergers and hope the game stays alive.

The MMO world is really getting to be tough these days. There are so many second and third tier low cost or free games out there. And of course, the 9,000 lb gorilla...............
