I miss the Whispering Blade/Rossu Morta live events. They were my absolute favorites! Tied for second were the Bael'Zharon live events and the Gman/Martine live events.

I like the Whispering Blade/Rossu Morta events because it promoted everything that oldschoolers loved in the game. Community coming together, fighting for a cause, working for a major goal, and generally made the game sooo much fun.

I wish there was a way to organize live events by players! Maybe do scenarios that players can interact with other players (such as quests that take one group from the Whispering Blade and one group from the Rossu Morta and they both do quests against each other, but with a positive out come for both sides).

If the Rossu Morta and Whispering Blade were having an underground war, of sorts, then that would open up the playing field for hundreds of strike missions against each other, counter-strike missions, stuff like that!

Imagine starting a quest at the Rossu Morta/Whispering Blade Chapterhouse, and then an NPC from the opposing chapterhouse announces that they just got word of a plot by the other faction. Then, players can interact with that NPC to 'intercept' the quest and complete points of the quest at a certain pace. Whoever completes their quest first, or whoever completes it more fully, or whatever criteria is required to be met by one side or the another, ultimately gains the primary reward. Both sides could end up with a reward, but the winning side maybe getes a title or something extra.

Just a thought but I think it would be awesome.

I just had another idea to add to this one. I posted it in another forum also, as it relates to that as well.

What about duality quests, of sorts, that would be reactive upon another quest similar to the queen quests. Players would idenify themselves (grouping by, say, fellowship?) and then begin a quest in two locations.

In the Whispering Blade/Rossu Morta suggestion I offered before, a team in the Whispering Blade CH could initate a quest, then a counter-fellow team would be notified that the Whispering Blade was planning on persuing some objective. The object of the quest for the Rossu Morta could be to thwart the Whispering Blade's attempts at whatever thier mission is, given a possible time limit and potential for multiple amounts of objectives, and naturally the winning team would recieve a reward, possibly XP.

Taking it one step farther, PVP could be involved. The timelimit could be an hour and the amount of XP, dependant partially on the amount of the quest completed, would be comprarable to the XP one would make in, say, a full EO dungeon in one hour.

This would give PVPers something to fight over, which has been a big issue for a while, and it would expand on the current questing system of the game. A quest like this would obviously be a big quest, on the scale of the Burun Kings, Olthoi Queen, ect., but could definitely be feasable.

I think that aspect is a great idea and obviously the technology is there, looking at quests like the Olthoi Queen and the Colloseum.

What happens if one side doesn't show up? What are you offering to the side that loses?

Most worlds are lopsided in WB or RM allegiance. Getting a group together of the unfavored side might be tough to say the least and if they have no chance of winning I don't see them breaking from whatever they are doing to engage in this when they know they are going to lose and they know they will get nothing for that effort.

There are many other quests where a certain number of people are required. However, with many quests in Asheron's Call, more people just means the monsters die faster. Some quests could be completed with 5-6 people just as fast as it could with 10-12 people. The purpose of the WB/RM quests might not be to slay monsters, but perhaps to accomplish goals. People excel at the Colloseum because they do it many times. Same with these quests.

There doesn't just have to be one, either. Different types or series of quests could be done. One might require more people than the other. If you can't find people, then just like the Queen Quest, Some Blackmires, and the Burun King quests, you just don't have the people. But nevertheless, those quests already exsist. And this one would be cool to do, once you DO have people.

Pretty much. I remember when I was one of the few Rossu Morta. I came to the first couple of live events. After that there was no point. The outcome would remain the same just by looking at how outnumbered the RM were. No point in going if we will lose and go without a reward.

It isn't one of those things where you go without a reward -- maybe you just get a different reward. That aspect of the quest is a non-factor because you can always tweak it so both sides benefit.

On Morningthaw, there were a lot of Rossu Morta, surely as many as Whispering Blade. Its definitely possible to recruit more. And if Turbine did something with the Factions, it would provoke more people to pick a side.

Yeah, seems like the only reason I did the Chapterhouse quests was for the Runed weapons. :|
