View Full Version : Pre-Order Gem missing?

I pre-ordered ToD in April '05, but when the expansion went live, I was unable to play due to time restrictions; although I did install ToD & went online briefly back then.

I recently have found myself time to play again and I understand that, since I pre-ordered, I should have received a yellow & a blue gem for my characters; due to the fact that I pre-ordered the expansion some months before it went live. I have only the blue gem, not the yellow, on all my characters.

On the advice of turbine support's "live chat", I emailed Turbine support with this question and followed with a copy of my receipt about 3 weeks ago. I received their response today, and I quote...

"Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we are not able to assist with Asheron's Call pre-order issues at this point."

I'm a bit confused... does this mean that I should try again later? Or that turbine support is not addressing these concerns anymore? Or that I should try another avenue to have this resolved? Or... ?

Dumb question: Did you apply the pre-order code to your account when Throne of Destiny first came out?

Hmm.. I actually don't remember a 'pre-order' code. I have the orginial box & discs. Would the code be somewheres on that?

The code would have either been e-mailed to you by the company you pre-ordered from, or sent to you in a seperate pre-order box. Either way, pre-order codes can no longer be applied to accounts.

The pre-order AND a retail key would have had to been applied to your account. This promotion has since expired and if you did not have both of these qualifications met, you would not be eligible for the gem.

Ah. Well phooey. Guess I shouldn't pre-order if I don't know I'll have the time to play. Sounds like even if I found the codes, they wouldn't be accepted at this point.

At any rate, thanks for clearing this up.
