Cant log in, PLEASE help me.

Ok I am a new player and I just bought and downloaded the game AC:ToD and I can not get it to play. I can log in and choose the realm to play in and it goes to the actual game screen and the Connected bar fills right up but the other blue bar wont fill up than after a few seconds i get a message saying "lost connection to server". I have done EVERYTHING to fix this and have been working on it for teh past few hours. I opened all the correct ports, allowed the Ac client and launcher permission in my firewall. I have tried all I or the tech sites can think of and no help at all. I cant play this game I just bought and at this point im very discouraged. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated. I also contacted tech help via online chat and that didt help at all. I am currently waiting for a tech help response via email but who knows when that will come through. Anyone else experience this and if so what helped? is this normal for this game?

What type of connection are you using? What is your modem make/model? What is your router make/model?

I'm in a similar situation except I can get into the game, once. Once I disconnect from the game I have to do one of many different things to get connected again: Delete my port forwarding rules, change the .ini file NET settings for AC, add a port triggering rule, delete the port triggering rule, change the port forwarding from the 9000-9013 range to a single port....etc.etc.etc.

I've never had a game act so strangely in that once I can connect, whatever allowed it to connect doesn't work the next time. I've made sure that the system i'm playing on has a static IP set by the router so that I don't have to change the port forwarding IP every time I reboot.

I honestly don't know what allows me to connect due to the fact that it never works twice!!

At least i've got a month before I start getting charged. Thus far i've gotten to play 3 hours out of the 48 that I've had the game installed. (the last hour of that 3 was spent looking at the pretty artifacts that tore across my screen apparently due to some issue with Series 8 nVidia cards? *sigh* but that's another issue and not for this topic)
