View Full Version : Firewall issues

I am using a D-Link DI-614+ router/firewall for my net connection. It seems that no matter how many different ways I set it up, I can't get it to fully connect. IT gets through the "Connected" vials, but the "update" vials won't go.

I have tried:

> Set up my PC in the DMZ
> open all the 9000 range ports for throughput
> set up a virtual server for each port int he AC list of ports
> set up trigger ports on the outbound ports and bound the inbound ones to them.

Any other ideas? How about some screenshots of a successful D-Link setup?

DOes it update withou the router hooked up? Try connecting the modem straight to the system just to see if the router is the real problem.

Hi Grilgar,
I have the same issue now and I had the same issue after server move.
Its not a firewall nor your AC client issue - at least in my case.
Last time I could login only after some changes which were made by Turbine and after almost one week.
Dunno what exactly help that time, may be just some new setting passed through some Internet bone-net setting.
Now I cannot login for 5 days now. I wrote an e-mail to Ibn, try to e-mail him too:

You can quickly find out if its your system or if its servers side by logging in on a computer at a friends house that your know works. Even if you didn't know if it works and works obviously it snot gona be server side.

Ifuritah,
the "fun" with this issue is, that its not on client side nor on server side.
When I had it last time, i tryied to login with notebook. I can use two type of connection, with one type I got stuck in Connected/Update, with second i went in game. Before I could use both, and after apr. one week I could login with both again. And during that week my ISP didnt change anything. Therefore I said it must be somewhere in the bone of Internet.

Hmm, how to say... Yes, but:

Hi Laird -- unfortunately I can't assist with your issue as I'm not Tech Support. Your best bet is to watch the forums to see if a resolution is found there, or alternately to call our technical support telephone line.

Im just waiting now for few more days if its geting better...
May be if more person will have same problem and ask for help,
they will help us.

Exactly Ifuritah!

Thx for your wish.
One good thing with that is that Im not going too angry with the new loot system rebalancing. LOL.

To take them in order:

Yes, I do have those ports open. Also, placing the comp in the DMZ should open all ports. Not a perfect solution since this is my only firewall.

I can get the updates if I connect directly to the cable modem, it's only through the router that I have troubles.

I'm sure the issue is the NAT on my router, I'm just not sure how to resolve it. Therefore, I won't botrher e-mailing Ibn :)

see if you have a selection such as this in the router:

NAT Only
Enabled
Private (LAN)
IP Address

if so, enable (disable dmz first) and make that number x.x.x.1 (or the number that the router assigned to your computer).
