grey ground textures?

today i installed ac on my vista laptop, at first it didnt work then i read that ac was not compatible with mcafee so i uninstalled mcafee and the game works and patches but the ground texture is grey. i tried updating my graphics driver but this didnt fix anything.

any help would be greatly appreciated!! i would love to start playing ac again after leaving about 4 years ago.

windows vista
2gb ram
250gb hdd
ati radeon x1270
