View Full Version : Live event times need to be rethought

Setting events that land at 5pm on the west coast makes it rough for west coast and mountain time zones, a little rough for central, and easy for eastern.
Europe is mostly asleep, of course, but with a round planet, you really can't get everyone at once.

However, if you pushed these live events back even one hour, you would impact more of your core audience. Two hours (10PM Est), and all of core America (sorry Hawaii :() can at least TRY to play. Isn't that the most people possible at one time?

If you can only make some of the people happy with live events, can you please at least make your core audience happy?

I'm also very much in favor of repeating events late at night for the European audience. I know that requires someone to be up late at night at Turbine, but this IS a global game, and that may be what it takes to make these live events worth something to everyone.

I cringe whenever Frelorn says that the patch will be bolstered by live events, because the odds of me (West coast) seeing them are always slim. This just doesn't seem like the right way to please the most people.

Thanks for your consideration,
Shen

Hah, be thankful they actually TELL you when the events are. Most games, they are surprises.

8 PM Eastern sounds just fine to me.

But I'm sure they won't mind working from 10 PM to Midnight just for you though... ;) lol

I am sure there will be other times for live events. Some late, some earlier for other countries also.
