Disappointing execution of live event

Just heeded the call to disrupt the Summoning Ritual of T'thuun. Did what I could with my 102 Melee and then stood around with dozens of white dots.... One of which evidently was the Turbinite silently standing there giving the rewards. Then as the crowd thinned and I finally asked the remaining folks how to get the reward was told he had just left.

I play too Infrequently to know who the guy was in lore but would have know if it was Asheron or he had just said anything.....

I like the game so I continue my subscriptions even though I play too little, this is just one of those things where expectations are raised then quashed leaving a bad taste in my mouth....

Live events are a waste, always have been. They benefit or include so few people.

yes this happened to me very disappointing. would have liked to have benefited peeps who didnt even fight got rewards and i didnt was really crappy. but is all good. turbine will say it worked as intended no use trying to get em to realize that it sucks when there is an semi tranparaent npc there that is hard to see with 20+ toons around him. ty all keep up teh good wotrk on teh live events next time ill bend over for ya . ty again

i Agree with the previous poster, live event always benifit a few select players us poor europeans offen get left out.

However if you do get to participate is a fun experience and i think some of the dev's may actualy enjoy running them aswel :)

"live" event, lol. The patriarch valley npc just needs to stay longer. So what if lotsa toons get a reward. Small compensation in my view for the lack of "live" events.

I belive a simple account timer would be a quick fix. =P

Altho, i've never seen turbine intoduce an account timer. Probley would be time lengthy process to rewrite the hero token pick-up timer from charcater timer to an account timer.

Lol I have to agree with you, Try getting the reward with almost 120 toons around the npc. Last time i went on SC, there were at least 120 toons around him till he vanished, lots of alts were up on the cliff top waiting. Good thing is, the killing only took about 5-6 min. from start to finish i was there about 15 min tops. I did get my reward by clicking on npc, just barely, as he vanished
right after i got it. does need to stay a tad longer with large number of toons there.

That is wrong though, If ive taken the time to get 5 chars to lvl 150 or 180 w/e the quest may be. I should be allowed to get rewards on all those chars even I did just kill on one.

No......no you shouldnt. Please give some form of a reasonable justification that all your alts should get rewarded for an event they didnt take part in. Everytime you complete a quest on your main, should every character on your account get the reward? Ofcourse not.
