Hey guys, I last played back in 2001 and wanted to get back into the game again . After hearing about the free trial I thought I would give it a shot. I forgot how much I missed this game anyway I just started back and was just curious if there were anymore newbies out there that would like to get together.
If anyone's out there my game name is Curian, would love to meet some guys to hunt with.

Curian,
We had some nice contact before and I thank you for taking this initiative. In the past some guys tried to set up an monarchy of only new players. A good idea but because the difference in leveling speed and the candy luring at other places, it will be hard to maintain.
At that time I suggested to set it up in an existing guild to make it easier to make the following steps.
So Curian, may I use your call to invite new or returning players starting from scratch to gather at the Crimson Knights? We are a helpful clan and are used to returning players. It would be lovely to see a new group of players finding their way in Dereth (again) while they know there is support from an experienced clan at hand.

I will say that Lance has a ton of wonderful clanfolks! I think this is a good place to be for all returning and/or new folks on Solclaim.

First time for everything Gary :)
Hello Lance ... Much love as always
I personally think that there are many good guilds on our Cool server. Not every guild here is right for everyone, and that is what makes Solclaim soo cool, cause no matter what faction of the Solclaim family you are in,, we for the most part, all get along
Welcome back and just enjoy your time in game.
I am loving the influx of new players as well Lance,, we have had quite a few people returning the past few months from 1 year to 6 years away. All are enjoying their return and wishing they had done so earlier.
Cheers all, and hopefully we can all get in game sooner than later

So can I assume that a great majority of these posts have been made by folks within the ranks of the Crimson Knights? If so, this sounds like a group I'd like to be a part of. :p I have been thinking for a while of coming back to this hidden gem of a game, but still have some hesitations that possibly you all could put at bay for me...
Is there any population of lower level characters at all? I hate soloing, and although I am fully aware that soloing is inevitable at some point in time, I'd like to avoid it whenever possible.
Are the quests still highly complex? I may be dating myself here, but I remember doing quests for my patron, running through about 5 or 6 dungeons in a day to get keys so he could get a sword. I thought this was the coolest idea ever.
Is there plenty to do other than just grind? I'm more of a "stop and smell the roses" player and I like to enjoy everything the game has to offer. I remember doing a lot of just exploring, finding random dungeons and such, killing a pack of drudges and stealing their campfire to sit around it and "roast marshmallows".
Is the white rabbit still around? :p
I have activated my subscription again, but upon arival into dereth I felt completely lost, almost as if I have never played ac before. I'm looking forward into sinking my teeth back into this, so please put my hesitations to rest! :D

Hallo Mr. Doyo, welcome back !!!
To be honest, no the major part of the posters are not from the Crimson Knights. If I counted well there are 3 guilds involved. But it sure says something about how we go along. All monarchies big and small live as good neighbors together en sometimes join forces to do bigger quests.
You have some valid questions. There is no real low level population anymore. Not because all players are here for years, no just because leveling goes much faster these days. We can greet on regular base new or returning players starting from scratch. Most are in a week level 50 or so and 100 in a couple of months. However I have seen examples of extreme power leveling. If you know where and how it can go real fast. Last example, if you want we have you at level 20 in 1 at the most 2 hours.
If you are a player who like to explore and does not think grinding is the way of live, you are welcome to do so ... freedom of play is one of the main rules at the Crimson Knights.
Many quests are complex, others not. Kill tasks are more and more common, but every month they add 1 or more new dungeons to the game.
Is there much more to do then grinding? ... ooh yes. This game is full of details and if you like it and have an eye for it, you can drown in all kind of smaller details.
Lol, yes the white rabbit is with his smite spell, still around. Better. he is the father of a real mean son .....
Anyway if you like to play on Solclaim you're most welcome. As I said we have other good guilds around too, but if you want to come to the Crimson Knights, please give me a call in game or visit our website to get a better impression of who we are.
Have fun !!!

In one hour level 20? :p I can get you 50 in an hour. I think I have a hero token on my main, not sure.
--Golden'
P.s. If you do come back to game hit me up, Leveling is so much fun and easier then it was in the day. You can be level 200 inside a month, with a lil' elbow greese :)

LOL My Main, Sister of Son just turned 201 and I have been playing her since 2000!!
As you can see there are some folks who enjoy sitting and grinding all day and others like me who love to hunt, quest and explore. Plus if time allows, I love to help new and returning folks with their questions and getting them started on their exciting journey in Dereth.

Dragunson,
I know you mean well, but Mr. Doyo is not in for power leveling. The examples I gave was to give him the picture about low level chars not much around anymore ...
But yes the numbers you gave are valid and possible .... but it is one way grinding .......

Hmm... thanks all for the replies. From the sounds of things I would most definitely like to give this game another shot. I also suppose I should clarify what I meant as "low level" as well... I knew that leveling is much faster than when I last played. I think it took me a good two months (maybe more?) just to hit level 25 and start exploring the Lugian Citadel ! I guess I was mainly thinking between 50/100 or so. Dunno if that would change your answer much, but I thought I'd clarify.
I look forward to meeting you all in the near future. Maybe we can all share a drudge campfire :p

Mr. Doyo there are quiet some chars in the range of 50-100. Players who started recently and alts of other players. For your perception, do everything 2 times level wise. A level 50 char of the past is now at least 100 and so on.
You will notice that many monsters are adjusted to this. The Lugian Citadel still has Luggies in it, but heavier. Not all old dungeons follow this patron, but certainly the new content
You guys sound pretty awesome, honestly. I just started up on the trial last night, I haven't really played in years upon years.
So if any of your Crimson Knights might be interested in a new, very low maintenance vassal, feel free to send em my way. I'll be goofing off as Hedan.
You seem like you'd be a fun group to chat with while I make my adventures.

Welcome back Afel!
I am sure if you log in and ask in /cg you will find many folks on that are in Crimson Knights (Lancelore's clan) and usually you will find Lance around. However, I have noticed lately he has been stalking me. I just may have to start hiding out.
/e smooches Lance
Welcome back again and should you see me in game and need any help just send a /tell!
I am currently playing Sho Is Sassy or Sister of Son on Solclaim.

Welcome back Afel !!!
As soon as I get home from work I will add you to my friendslist to see if you are on and are taken care off (might miss you, because I live in Europe).
Really hope you will find a good home at the Crimson Knights or on our server. Have much fun !!!
Sis,
Not stalking you .... I keep your back safe :p
Beat you to it :)
Was hanging out in holt selling off some loot when Yehenala accosted me with all kinds of advice for returning players, and gave me a bit of armor. Found out they're a fairly recent returning player as well, and is REALLY nice and helpful. I think they'll make a hell of a patron.

Thanks for the heads up Afel !!!
Yehenala is a very nice woman and not that long in our clan. She is a recent returned player too. Hope a new friendship is born ;)
