I see a lot of discussions about "acm" and "ucm." I don't know what those acronyms mean but i understand they have to do with cheating.

I also see that decal has a lot of addons that seem to expidite many aspects of the game. Is decal considered a form of cheating?

ACM = Attended Combat Macroing - Using a third party plugin to fight while you are at the computer. "Technically" not cheating and within the Code of Conduct presented by Turbine.

UCM - Unattended Combat Macroing - Using a third party plugin to fight while you are NOT at the computer. CHEATING and against the Code of Conducted presented by Turbine.

I don't believe Decal in and of itself can be considered cheating. There a lots of plugins that I believe are find under the CoC. But there are a couple of plugins for Decal, that can get you "banned".

Most current mmo's allow you to use plugins to their games, and alot of them are very beneficial and end up getting written into the game if they are used en masse.

No plug-in will cause you to get banned. The inappropriate use of a plug-in to break the CoC is what would get you banned.

Decal is not cheating. It is a way to build in important features into the user experience making AC a much more enjoyable game. Without Decal, AC becomes a lot more tedious (and even with Decal, AC is an extreme amount of grind and wait times).
