Returning Player Seeking Advice

Hello there! AC was my first MMO and as a lot of people have experienced, I never really got over it. Even after playing all these new MMOs, I would always feel nostalgic about it. So anyhoo, I decided what the hell, and reactivated my account but I feel like I am totally new to the game.

I haven't played in years so I am sure A LOT has changed. I was wondering if there was anyone out there would take pity on me and wouldn't mind me adding them to my friends list and shooting some Newbish questions their way once in awhile.

To give you an idea of how long it has been, I remember when GSA and Atlans were decent, I played when 126 was the cap, etc. I'm sure it is a whole new game by now so I'd probably need help relearning the ropes.

As for my character, I might stick with UA since that's what my old guy was, is there any reason I should/shouldn't do this?

yes it's a much changed world

400 skill teir ua base damage for maxed out is 13-26 sure beats 2-8 atlan by a mile. add lvl 7/8 banes to it tinkered 10 times and well you get the drift.

people will most likely say yes IF you told them what world you were planing on entering.

like join FF and adding mine would be like a broken pencil. pointless. i'm on TD only

Ahh cool, that was a quick reply, so maybe there is more community than I imagined. As for my world I am not sure yet. :/ I played on DT and TD when I played, but I don't feel like DT would be a wise decision seeing as how I am basically new all over. Would you suggest TD? As for right now, I am still patching, and will probably make a guy to get accustomed to the game again, but his stats would probably be messed up, and in a few days or whatever I'd reroll into a new character with decent to good stats. :P

well i don't play DT so can't suggest that. as i play on TD i'm biased so can't accurately suggest that either.

the game is the same as it ever was..... just less people.

people are the same as they ever were also...... many left are assholes and will do nothing but make fun of your beginner/returning questions, but there are still several that will help out for no gain to themselves.

5 or 6 of the servers average 200 to 230 logged on, a couple that never get over 150 peak, and VT that averages at about 40.

go back to your old server for nostalgia or start over on another does not matter much, with public buff bots giving you 7s for 2 hours even crap armor and weapons will have you to 50 in short enough order.

the most important thing in the game is to find a couple of people to befriend or you will leave before the 14 day trial is up.

So I made a guy on the FF server, didn't do much, just ran through the tutorial. I'm guessing the buffbots are still in the marketplace. Are there any sites to find out decent leveling dungeons and how long they will be useful? Like what levels I should go where and such? I was also looking at all the quests but I'm now sure which are worth doing anymore. :/

Sorry for not getting on, Kaid. I had hit resubscribe without noticing my CC was a year or 8 old. :) I'm off to look for some buff bots and try to solo some old quests I remember.
