Howdy,

Ok so I run vista of course and after just coming back to the game paying to renew my sub etc. I was able to log in just fine on my friends computer who runs xp. I seem to be outta luck on my computer though.

So after downloading the hotfix for vista I was able to patch and install AC fine on my computer. The game launches I select my character enter game and after coming out of portal space im stuck as glowing purple lights in the shape of my character and it never finishes loading. After about 1 min or so connection to server is lost. I opened all my ports from 9000 to 9013 and checked that they were open. Turned off firewall and disabled all anti-virus software. I have the game set to run as admin.

I can see that I have packet loss because it goes from green when I first enter game to yellow then red. I'm able to look at my character info/inventory game options and all that just cant get my avatar to finish loading after coming outta portal space to actualy be able to play. Tried it on my alt character and same issue. tried spamming lifestone recall as soon as I got in... nothing. I can see other people talking in general for the few moments I'm in game even but cant seem to talk back or that is my response doesnt seem to be going through.

So turbine get's my money for the month but I can't actualy play :( any help/advice suggestions thanks.

Ok so after installing the game on my other computer runing xp I have the same issues.
So I came back to my computer with vista and put my router into the DMZ and bam game worked fine. So some reason even though I enabled ports 9000 to 9013 something is happening that then still aren't realy enabled. I even used the portchecker tool to check if they were realy enabled and the first time they all said they were enabled.

however I tried the port check a second time and was told ports 9001 9002 and 9004 were not recieving packets (not fully enabled I guess) but after putting my computers routter into the DMZ logging in the taking it back out of DMZ and runing the port checker again it told me the ports were all enabled fine. So I tried logging back into game and uggg same problem again. So seems something weird is going on when I can run the game when I put it into DMZ only but not when I try to enable the ports and keep it out of DMZ.

computer Dell vista 32bit dualcore 2.4 ghz processor with 4 gig ram 256mb videocard all latest drivers runing directx 10 etc. I have a belkin G wireless router model: F5D7234-4

So I'm going to try searing to find out more about this seemingly port enabling issue im having. Any suggestions would help and I'll try reading through some of the other threads again with the same problems.
