I think it is almost totally agreed that archers are the worst in PvP right now. I think that is because they have been balanced around the fact that they can do their damage very fast. Right now they are pretty balanced if they aren't being evaded, and they are firing at their full speed. They might be easy to dodge, but they don't have to be right up in someone's face, so they can dodge war spells easier.

So I think a really good way to fix this would be to change the way the accuracy bar functions. Making the range from 100% to 150% instead of 50% to 150% would make it so you would need alot of missile defense to evade an archer at full speed. I think even white archers would like this idea, making it so they might be able to hit certain monsters at middle or just above middle, instead of full accuracy.

That might not fix archers entirely, but I think it would help them alot, personally I'd like them to have more damage, but not be shield hollow but I'll save that for another post...

That's the best idea there is floating around, and I've never seen a response to it. Well, except debuffable weeping weapons. Poor way to go about anything with the problems there already were. That isn't what should happen when they were already in the back.

Looks practical, balanced, and simple to me.

I dont like that idea
because a archer was outdamaging my full swing sword with his bow with me having Missle defense too.

Machine gun should have a disadvantage for using it
It is lower skill = more evades.

Archers r fine vs melees

Vs mages they suck.

This is balance imo.because 1 class should be better vs 1 other class and not as good vs the other class.




Mages are the only class that can easily kill the other 2 classes.


Mages need a nerf.

melee's Had a small chance to kill mages before this recent patch
Now it is just a joke with loather on weeping weapons/bows.

Devs have blown it this month.

The problem is probably that mages can get away with being missile d chars. They can't function with melee d, why does missile d work so well for them?

Maybe it should work like melee defense. Instead of having melee defense mods on weapons, we could just have "defense" mods in general that would affect both melee d and missile d.

Bows wouldn't necessarily have to have attack mods then, but HS would probably have to affect them for that to balance out right.

That stops mages from getting to be melee d gods at the same time. It could stop their missile d if applied correctly.

And even though an archer can do more than a melee, missile defense in general is still really messed up. Something with the speed and accuracy mod would still have to be done. I evade archers who try to machine gun me without missile defense trained because I buff it and hit them back at the same height.

I don't evade them very much, but I usually see it happen, and theres no way anyone is going to evade a melee without melee defense.

I would have to disagree agenst archers vs melle, i went up to fight a sword with missle d, I had banes and such. Ugly, same thing happens with melle's without missle d also. I really think that melles have the advantage over archers,so do mages.

On the day of the patch, I had no banes from the night before, and NB2 wasn't working, so I went to my LS with no banes and didn't realized the situation I was in. Some PK came, and he was an archer, and we both debuffed eachother. He shot me four times with NO banes and level 7 debuffs and I did not die.

The other day, I did the same thing on accident to another archer, as most of my banes fell right before I ran into him, but I attacked him and killed him. NO banes and level 7 debuffs.

Both of those guys had weeping bows, and I didn't BL them, so yeah, bow is way too powerful compared to melees...
