I decided to give AC another go around. So, I dowloaded the 2 weeks trial to make sure the game was what fondly remembered. I have dowloaded the client, installed, and updated the game. Here is where the oddities begin to happen.
I loaded up Frostfell, and create a character. I exited the game a short period later to run an errand. When I go to load up the character it would not load it into the game. It gets stuck at that moment of just beginning to enter the game world. In a couple of minutes an error pops up that the connection to the server was lost.
So, I decided to try out another server to see if it was something whacky. I created a character on Harvestgain, and was able to enter the world. I then log out of that the HG character, and restart AC. After the AC restart I attempt to log into the freshly made HG character, and I cannot log into it either. It get stuck now just like on Frostfell.
At this point any character I create on either of these 2 servers cannot enter the game. I am afraid to try yet another server in fear I will get the same results as these two once I create the first character.
I am running Windows Vista 64 bit with SP 2. I have Windows Firewall set to allow AC to run. The Antivirus I am running is Trend Micro Antivirus, so I cannot see any reason that would be causing the problem. Any thoughts on this wierd situation would be greatly appreciated!
