It's been awhile since I've played, and one thing I've notice so far to be a bit painful to learn is not using the right mouse button to turn.
Does anyone have suggestions or are able to describe how they keybind/play? Which buttons do you have bound to what, etc [for movement]. I need to ease myself into it, but having to use the middle mouse button to adjust camera and no right click to move character can be aggravating. ;p
Thanks.

WASD + arrow keys. strafing with z and c.
SHIFT = walk
use the number pad to look around and +/- to zoom in/out respectively.
the only difference between this and default is that by default S is 'Stop' and 'X' is reverse.
I just make S = backup and bind X to anything else I feel like.

One good tip.
This isnt WoW. Stop relying on your mouse.

I just use the arrow keys personally. I actually use CTRL+WADS(and shift-ctrl+wads) for emotes because I'm a loser.
As for other things:
I always play melee/missile combat in advanced mode, I feel its easier to be able to change my power on the fly instead of messing with the bar. I actually make use of the advantages that attack height give you (For a demonstration of that watch my overview video series (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WQCpzY8Yis) )
When doing tradeskills in bulk I typically bind the two ingredients i'm using to hotkeys, that way I'm just pressing two buttons instead of moving the mouse around as the inventory shifts to add the new item.

It's not even WoW, DAoC, EQ II and CoV has all gotten me using my mouse for a lot of movements. I love AC, and I understand it's something I'll have to get used to.
Thanks all for the tips, I'll try it out.

They also do that in DDO - a major Turbine title.
I think you have every right to compare when it's the same company.

Your post actually helped a lot, I basically am using those controls, and it's pretty good. Albeit, I will have to relearn how I move and this will take getting used to but... if I can get back into it, I think I'll be staying [in AC, that is].
Just got to pick a server now. ~_~ Been a long ass time.
