No, once a Zone name is associatied with a Passport Account - That is it...

If the friend wants to take over that account, the original passport user would have to go to www.passport.com - change the email address to the new users email address, give the password to the new user - let the new user login to passport then change the password.

Steps

Current passport user logs into passport and changes email address to new users email address
Current passport user gives password of account to new user
New user logs into passport with the email address current user changed the account to
New user then changes the password the the passport account
Now new user's passport will be associated with the Zone name that the AC account is under
The current user will lose all access to the Zone under that Zone name

Use this info at your own risk, I do know that once an AC account is associated with a passport account it cannot be changed.

I also believe that passport either discourages or outright forbids the transfer of accounts - You need to read the passport terms of service to be sure.

If the current user has the passport associated with either hotmail.com or msn.com then the current user would lose access to their hotmail account and/or their dial-up/broadband access.

This is really a fundamental change if the current user has things other than AC associated with that passport account

if we do it like this will the original owner still have acces to his msn account ? (which is the same as the .net one)

and he wants to keep that one.

Nope, will lose access to that msn account. AND if the origianal user has Windows XP using .NET passport then I would absolutely NOT suggest transferring passport.

The new user would in effect take over ALL things associated with that passport account.

The users in question may need to wait until Turbine takes over the subscription/login servers.

Then MAYBE/MAYBENOT Turbine will have a process that will dissassociate the AC account and the passport account.

THEN transfer of account would not cause loss of ALL passport related web accounts.
