View Full Version : If there ever was a new pvp server

Lets set some general ground rules or regulations the majority of the people can agree on.

1- No vassal or chain xp at all.
2- A fair level cap that does not make one character too powerful.
3- All weapons/items dropable.
4- No item debuffs.

That's all i'm going to put up for now. Posts your ideas up.

But really, I doubt there would ever be a new server ESPECIALLY not a new PVP server. How could Turbine warrant the cost of a new PVP server?

I have no time to reply to sarcastic remarks. Now if yours was not sarcastic, how is AC pvp too easy?

As for obtaining a new server, Turbine can make room for a new pvp server by merging two of the npk servers into one. :p There are about 700 people playing and with two servers merged into one it would help no hurt the overall player base. That's just what I think anyway.

So then all turbine does is change one of the npk servers that they merged a pk server with new a tweaked game client and strict server rules to allow for fair leveling etc.:D

I was being sracastic becuase you said on your Planetside thread that it was too easy.

Anyway, If they did merge a couple on white server togethor that would be cool then use the other server for a PK world. I just dont think people would want to play this. Darktide barely has 800+ people in peak times. For turbine to make a new PK world Darktide would have to be swamped with people playing it.

reduced xp from vassals (copy ac2's system )
hard xp cap at lvl 126

At 126 u do not gain any spendable xp.

I'd rather see Turbine do something about the lag on pvp servers (DT) before making a new one. The ping which I get on npk servers is about half what I get on DT at any given time. Using the same network and no matter which computer I am using.

Then again, the lag in AC is pretty horrible compared to any other online game which I play. Some serious update and upgrades to database and hardware are desperately needed before any new servers are added.


Failing that... then what Ivanhoe said. Hard level cap at 126 and a serious xp chain nerf.

Personally, I'd prefer that they make leadership a requirement for any experience gain from vassals below those directly sworn to you. Even then, the characters with leadership trained shouldn't be able to get expereince from characters any further down than two to three tiers of the allegiance structure.

We play to PvP, xp chains make it possible for some to PvP without the need to hunt.. remove chains, only roleplaying weirdo's would play it :)

Almost agreed - have some no drop items but make them really suck, like some al 50 no drop leather etc.
