The left guys (Sho?) armor looks good. The "I'm a Squal Lionheart wannabe" armor of the middle guy (Aluvian?) isn't all that great and the top half of the right guy (Gharu?) isn't looking to bad from what I can see.

Either the avatars or the armor isn't right for the people though. The left looks like Sho armor but he looks Gharu, the right guy looks... well I'm not sure but the top looks like Gharu/amuli style armor.

Your right, same armor... I know thats a suit of armor I won't be getting in black. The pants are different though (or it appears that way).

The middle guy has a helmet though, is that new or just something I didn't notice before? Looks like they come with shoes too. Are those leather gaunts though or are they part of the suit too?

It looks like they took the sleaves on the left char and just stretched out the amuli coat arms to make them.

And the guy in the middle looks like he has half an amuli coat used for the upper chest area and slapped a texture over the top of it. And then they took the new leather paudrons and just changed the texture to look like chain for the shoulders.

I won't give my final thought yet, but thats just how it appears for the screen shots. It appears the guy in the middle and on the right are wearing the same type of armor.

I'm going to refrain from judging the new armor until I can see more examples in-game, or at least better screenies. Looks like we finally have geta (a traditional Japanese footwear), or something like it :)

The Lorica doesn't look bad, but I'm not exactly drooling over the style as of yet. Sho armor looks interesting, I'm sure it looks better up close and perhaps with a color that better displays the textures. That shade of blue tends to drown out detail.

Middle guys BP is bad. Don't like it at all. Guy on the left looks like he has the same kind, but u can't really see it. May look a little betther than middle guy's. Both of the guys sleeves kinda resemble old kouija. I guess the new stuff is a little better than the old kouija sleeves, which were F. Ugly. Old celdon beats all other sleeves though.

As for the bottoms, the kouija dress was always fugly so u coulndn't do much worse. New stuff is better, but celdon still has them all beaten. And frankly i think yoroi is the best leggings out there.

what sandal? one on left look like Gharu, due to dark skin complexity, difficult to tell since both is wearing Helm of Crag from new upgrade quest, "Arm, Heart, and Heart". i already knows that they are dyeable.
the other on right is using sho (oriental) sword style.

now you see why it wasnt fully correct to show which is gharu or sho.

hm, what was the big deal to show Niffis shield? trying to look cool for teaser shot? unless they are upgrading for something else.

as far i know, Japan's outfit style, they wears robe or kimindo but in China's clothing and armor wear very tight and elaborated engraving art work on armors decorated with dragons.

in Mideast, most wear robes, some baggy robes, some tight fit and loose style robes to show different caste. they used conical helms for battle. some used the layered or bulky type armors, to have metal armors is very rare which are used by very wealthy folks.

so that teaser pic wasnt even that clear out our curoiusly, so that shield just kind of ruined the teaser for me. imho.
maybe we see same object that make us could be thinking different. i guess i wait until wednesday to find out which is Charin or Nariyid.

looking at the teaser shots and the teaser on the vault (http://acvault.ign.com/features/exclusives/teaserimg/apr04.shtml), I gotta say that so far the new armor is not looking so good, IMO. I always was an amuli fan though, and I loved the look of the old mage armor (the new mage armor looks terrible, IMO). So...looks like I'll be sticking with my tinkered Amuli unless this new armor has some other properties that I don't know about.

The teaser story line is not so exiting actually. I hope you're moving the gharu archmage to a better spot (like maybe near Zaikhal or Q'bar), but other than that, honestly I'm really sick and tired of Elysa and Antius. Elysa's always been an extremely boring and weak character, and Antius is just a chump change soldier (yeah, a good one, but absolutely not better than about 100 real life players I know of, and certainly a whole lot less interesting than them). IMO, Elysa should never have been in a romantic relatinship after Thorsten Cragstone. Her flirting with Asheron and stuff was somewhat entertaining to read about, but Antius is such a wonder bread character. I was hoping Elysa would disapear during the assassination attempt, and the plot would change a bit, but no...she had to survive and be brought back for more boring speeches, more complete inaction (on her part), and more bossing others around while she does nothing. What happened to her son? Actually...never mind, that's too boring too...yawn.

Antius and Elysa don't seem to respect Fadhail much either. It's interesting because when the game started, the Gharundim were the race of humans that were supposed to be the most adept with magic. The Zaikhal Arcanum was a huge force in Dereth in the early days, with Nuhmudira and co. Now Elysa's sending Celdiseth and Shoyanen out to do magic research...but Fadhail's left in his deserted shop in the desert? I wonder if Elysa's prejudiced against Gharu's...

I cannot wait for Nuhmudira to return...so tired of Elysa and Antius's boringness. Maybe Ciandra (Nuhmudira's one time apprentice) could take a leadership role. Or a Ben Ten figure could arise to make things more interesting. Seriously...I think it's about time Turbine drops the whole Elysa/Antius story line. We need some new and interesting characters leading the Isparian diaspora. Shake up the AC story line a bit. Please. And not with new threats from outside...but with factions within the Isparians.

Maybe bring about a huge shake-up. people can support Elysa or Nuhmudira or another figure, and can PKL each other as part of these factions, kinda like the factions in AC2 or realms in DAoC. Strife in dereth need not always come from new monsters...

In general, the new artwork has been awesome. Not sure about the upcoming armor though.

I'm not sure which game you're talking about, here. They've been doing a better job of targeting new content and quests towards different level brackets than ever before. Even if new content is generally biased towards higher levels, that makes a certain amount of sense given the large high-level population (high-level usually meaning 80+, except possibly when it comes to specific areas like Caul or a handful of 100+ dungeons).

Considering that this arc has barely begin, and the quest that kicked it off was accessible to levels as low as 40, I don't understand why you're complaining already.

The shield looks like a Niffis Shell shield. Maybe it's getting a bit of updating?

For those complaining or praising the "new" hat... I'm pretty sure it's the old Crag of the Helm since Lugian Armor quest is getting redone.

I am never one to badmouth this game since it is soo awesome, but this time im going to make an exception.

The new armor looks like garbage. There is no detail to the armor and it looks like it was made in 5 minutes. Seriously here, im sure we want armor with detailed work, not something else completely 1 color. The guy on the left......i sware its a robe with a little doodle on the front. You are making this new dungeon VERY detailed (looks AMAZING in my opinion) so why cant you take the time to make the armor like that? People visit dungeons occasionaly, but people see this armor every day... I can understand making a dungeon nice, but the armor is just as much, maybe even more important.

Honestly, I have never really been dissapointed in content. I was fine with the mage nerf that was changed back this month....and i live to adapt. But the armor is just horrible looking, end of story.

I honestly think the negative feedback on it will be as thick as the Mage changes, and a patch will be done to make the armor more appealing, since no one will use it if it looks like that.

Are you guys talking about the place with the 3 smoking pedestals, and the cone in the middle of them with the snowball floating above it? That is Fadhasil's (sp) (the Master Mage's) shop. It is in the Xarabydun ( I think :p ) desert.

Oh, and I've seen other places like that while I was hunting, not sure if they had the pedestals and cone w/snowball in them but they looked the same on the outside.

I'm sure that the place in the teaser pic is Fadhasil's because he said he's been hearing scratching coming from his shop floor. :cool:

I was somewhat disappointed with the new armor. I can't really say anything yet, but right now it looks like its going to need majors for me to wear it.

The new dungeon looks very cool exept for the part about the vitae penalty and loss of my armor. Someone else is definately going in front of me on that one. Last time I tried something like that without knowing what I was even getting out of the quest I ended up with no reward and no major will pants :(.

The rest looks good. The mite would be bad, but I turn my sound off when I play. I can't wait to see the new patch and watch other people die in new and interesting ways while I continue do die normally, forever cursed to pay extra maintenance fees for my lifestone.

Roman Lorica Scale Armor (Aluvian?): Looks a bit like you are wearing a skeleton suit. I don't see any females wearing it, has the mysterious floating female torso trick been fixed yet?

Parthenon Fabric covered armor (Gharu?) am guessing on the style here. I like the robe look, but the helm looks Sho.

Sho Armor: Anything besides a helm? I think there isn't any sho armor in the pics. Either that or the Sho armor looks way too similar to the Roman style armor.

Helm looks like what is probably the updated Helm of the Crag, unless they are putting that design into the loot generator.

I'd be very surprised if the "Parthenon fabric" armor were not Sho. The pants and footwear appear to be based on Japanese design, and the top has a similar look to it.

There is a cone with a star spinning, smoking pillers that if the right one is double clicked will send you to a lower chamber where a statue threatens you if you cannot answer a riddle.

His shop is alone in the desert, usually guarded by shadow type or those snake people, whatever you call em.

Is there any guidance on this as I have now entered the place and haven't a clue what the statue/ gaurdian wants.

Also where is Fadsahil's location now?
