Is there anything I can possible do to optimize the connection without the lag? I have been having Major Lag issues within AC, this is where I have noticed it.
I was also wondering HOW you trace you internet route?
Thank You

I have searching the boards trying to get a definitive answer...and have not really found anything satisfactory.
Since about a week before the April patch...and right after the worlds had come down for either scheduled maintenance or a hot fix (can't remember which) I have experienced such severe lag it has been impossible to play many days, and just incredibly irritating to play the rest of the time. And after several years of relatively problem free game time I find it hard to believe it has to be something on MY end that is causing the problems. I had not changed anything, added anything, removed anything as far as video cards or graphics is concerned, no new ISP, no new nothin'!
But after that "fix" it sometimes takes up to and even over a minute -after hitting the enter button- to get my character even into portal space. Then once in the game, if there are too many other bodies around, regardless of whether they are monsters or other players, I slow down to a sticky crawl. Moving the cursor can take many long seconds. I spent about five minutes trying to get OUT of my cottage one day before giving up. Questing is definitely out of the question right now.
I love this game and do not want to leave, but if it continues like this I will have to look elsewhere. And there are many, many more players that are having the same or similar problems who do NOT post here. It is not an isolated incident affecting a small number of players. I have asked several times when trying to play if anybody else was having problems, when a third to half those present respond that they are too, I think Turbine better stop passing the buck.
