Hello,

I have a weird problem. I'm playing AC on 2 different Machines. On my home comp I can play without problems, but now I'm trying to log in on my 2nd comp at work after like 2 weeks. When I login with my passport Account and open a Room, I only get the "Downloading" Button instead of the "Play" Button, and nothing happens. Before the April Patch, everything worked fine.
I have reinstalled the MSN Gaming Zone and AC several times, I have cleared my temp internet files and all cookies, I have set my IE security settings to "low", but nothing helped. I even ran 3 different registry cleaner tools just in case it's a registry problem, but it still won't work.

My comp spec:
PIV 2,6GHz
256 MB RAM
WinXP Prof. + SP1 + all current Windows Updates
We are using a Symantec Firewall VPN200 and like I said, before the April Patch I could play without problems. Now I'm clueless what broke my zone. Does anyone have a similar problem??

Thanks for any help.

Hello..........I don't know if this will help or not but since the April patch, did you update Windows? There were 2 new critical updates and I know from past experience that many times AC won't play unless everything is up todate. If you are using Decal and Eltank, both of those have new updates as of the April patch.

Today we had problems getting in to MT since it was moved to the new server. We finally got in! I called Technical support and they were so nice........only took 5 minutes and was so simple following his instructions. We couldn't even get the purple portal play page!

For anyone else having this problem, I don't know what they call this, but I call this setting the new path to the server by installing new zone files.

FYI: If anybody else is having problems getting the purple portal play page for MT, here is what they had me do:

1. Log out of everything and reboot PC.
2. Click on My Computer, then Program Files, then MSN Gaming file
3. Delete "Zone" and "Zone Proxy" files
4. Close file and return to desktop

5. Open IE
6. Type in www.zone.com in address bar
7. Click on CD-Rom
8. Click on Asheron's Call and when the advertisement page comes up, just click on "Play".
9. I believe that opens up the list of worlds
10. Click on MT
11. Then when the new page opens up, click on one of the Silent Rooms
12. I believe that this is where it asks you to sign in to the Zone, so you sign in like normal(it's possible that the sign in page will show up before this......I can't quite remember where it comes in at)
13. And then you should get the purple portal page for MT.
Now it's Full Speed Ahead.............

The Technician told me that from now on, we just connect like we do normally. We just had to set a new path to get the Zone.com server files.

OR........you can just call Technical support and they will walk you thru it.

Hope this helps some one................
