Turbine should advertise ac better

I would like to see turbine advertise ac on the tv and other areas. this would help draw more people and fill the worlds like they were years ago.

I totally agree. I see advertizements everywhere for WOW (world of warcraft), I would like to see Asheron's Call EVERYWHERE!!!

That would be totally awesome for Asheron's Call to be advertized, and for the fans to find merchandise in stores around the world.

It would be awesome, yes, but I'm going to doubt that AC draws in the revenue to support a venture like that.

When Massive magazine came out, they did advertise in that. I still have that magazine issue actually just because of it. There was also an article with the 5 old-school MMOs (UO, EQ, AC, AO, DAoC) which was pretty good. I think the magazine tanked though.

The best advertisement is word of mouth. If you start playing another game (I'm dabbling in STO), mention it on their off-topic forums. If you have friends who like MMOs, rave to them about how great AC is. *shrug* Sometimes it works, sometimes they laugh at you, lol.

I have to agree with Ruhelos that mass marketing likely isn't in the cards for AC since it is very difficult to attract new customers to a 10 year old game. However, directed advertising using either paper or electronic media maybe more realistic, especially if it targets those old players to come back.

I think they should offer the game free to LOTR and DDO players. It might bring in few old / new players

Advertising on TV would be a poor return of investment.

They've done OK considering the age of the game. Creating a dumbed down F2P mini-server or PK mini-shard might be the best way to get people back in.

And by all means, spam the DDO/LOTR folks about it.
