Checking out other servers
So this has got to be about the 4th times I've declared "I'm finally quitting" only to come back to the game a year or so later. This time I'm trying to find a better (or at least a more populated server) to play on. I grew up playing on Wintersebb. But it seems to have died quite substantially (as I'm sure most servers have in some way). So with the exception of Darktide, I'm scouting out a new server to call home for my return to Dereth.
So far I think I've come down to two choices: Frostfell or Solclaim Any words from people who have played more than one server?

I think MT has to be in on the discussion. We've got a pretty active server. I'm not sure how server pops compare, but I know we have a lot going on.
It's really all about the clan you go into. I'd post here the top 5 or so things you look for in a clan. Is it PvP, questing, hunting, tinkering, buffbots, leadership, NO UCM, UCM, Swearing, no vulgarity, etc. etc.

FF is the most populated server for whites. DT I am sure if the most overall popluated at any time. May I suggest try both. If you go with FF then look for an alleigence that has your same interests and people playing the same time zone. It will make a big difference.

I play both SC and MT and have found the right clans for me. As said above, make sure you talk with the folks on each server to find where you would fit in best.
I used to play WE and had a blast there. In fact, I was the only American in a French Monarchy. When I went to France we all gathered in Paris for a AC friends night! I will remember those people for as long as I live. They were awesome. Sadly, they all left for another game and I was the only one in the clan. That is when I switched to SC. Welcome back and have fun exploring all the servers. I bet you will get to meet a ton of great folks! Smooch!

Another thing to consider is possibly staying on WE and then leveling up and become a big fish in a small pond.
Or, maybe that would be a big fish amoung big fish in a small pond? Anyways, welcome back! Pop into SC so you can get smoochies from Sassy. =) |
