The rare loot armor color's / Orange

Is there any thinking of putting in the rare loot armor color's as dye's?

Bright Yellow
Bright Red
Light Green
Orange/Pink = Is their any chance we can get fail dyed orange and pink to not take -20 or -50 off armor level, and just be added as a plant?

Re: The rare loot armor color's / Orange

i would love to see it too, this been asked several times in past.

maybe if they can do on limited scale on those "quest" armors, or shadow armors, they only got 3 colors.

i would love to see whole new series of shadow armors base on Lorica, chirans, and narayyids, maybe those new shadow-olthoi, or +150 lvl armor models.

i didnt like -50 penalty, because there are varied shades of oranges/pinks that dont match other orange/or pink, and lose -50 some more if trying to match it.

regular loot generated armors are almost impossible to have new dye added.

right now, there are some "rare" colors armor pieces from Dark Islands and few often from mana forged chests.

i found hot red, neon white, and other brightly color olthoi celdons. those take time to make matching.

here what i helped Stormcrow completed his color theme set, and he look good in that.
gave him sleeves and helm to match with his BP and legs

trading can make it possible to complete it.

Re: The rare loot armor color's / Orange

just added post.

here what i am looking, but my olthoi amuli legging didnt quite match my top.
missing bracers, gloves, and helm to match it.
legging had green pads on the hip when i need light blue.
i prefer white/light-bright blue bug helm.

Re: The rare loot armor color's / Orange

The rare lootable colors such as bright red would be very difficult to add to dyes. The majors dye colors (dye plants) are special pallets that are not available in loot but created specifically for dying. The reason for this is the numerical value that correlates with a color in AC depends on the location of the piece of armor. A pair of leggings that are bright red have a different number than a hauberk that's bright red. Also this changes from armor type to armor type as different armors often use different pallets completely.

However there is another thread running and mention in the producer's letter of a system to allow players to move stats from one item to another. This is intended to allow players who like the color and/or appearance of one item to find another similar item (hauberk to hauberk, breastplate to breastplate, etc.) with more desirable stats and move those stats over. (this of course will destroy the object you take the stats off).

I don't like that plan. I'd rather see a slight increase in the drop % of "rare" armor colors. Where is my pyreal green plate??
