For some time now our players have been asking for a Letter from the Producer, to let them know what direction we as a franchise are headed. Well now it is here, but there is some extra news to go along with it.

Rob "Severlin" Ciccolini, everyones favorite AC Engineer, is now the Producer for Asheron's Call. Dave "Crowley" Javier has moved onto other projects, and we would like to thank him for all of his time and dedication to Asheron's Call. Thank you Dave! Don't be a stranger!

Severlin brings with him a fresh perspective and an Engineer's attention to detail, along with some really fantastic ideas. So without further delay, go check out the November 2009: Letter From the Producer!

I'm working on a "so long and thanks for all the Mites" farewell letter that Andy's been waiting patiently for, but I just wanted to pop in here and congratulate Rob on his new gig. I know you, our players, don't always get a good insight into Dev team dynamics, so let me just tell you that the giant 100th Update and 10th Anniversary events were driven by Rob spending a lot of time thinking hard about the game, planning out various ideas, and then telling us, "Here's a bunch of features I can code up, let's make a great project out of it."

From the time he joined the team in 2006, Rob has broadened what the AC team considered possible within our limited resources. He's been not only an outstanding engineer, but also an energetic and creative voice in design discussions. I know you all are already wowed by the stuff he laid out in his Producer's Letter, and let me tell you that he's been wowing the rest of us for three years. He and the AC team, with their passion, vision, and work ethic, made my job easy. All I had to do was organize schedules.

Rob's going to be a great Producer for Asheron's Call. Good luck to him and the rest of the team.

I've been a HUGE fan of Sev since the day he joined. He really came to the players and talked to us on our level, asking what we liked, what we didn't, and has always been honest with what is possible.

Sev - I'm looking forward to see your leadership in action. I think you've always had a remarkable vision for what AC could and should be.

Wow and congrats! I know sometime people don't think the "extra's" are worth the time to implement, but I think these types of updates will bring and keep players alike!

These are all great ideas, but as a pie in the sky wish, I would love to see multi-slot Set armor count for as many pieces as the armor takes slot. That way a person could conceivably do 9 slots of Set armor and still be stylish in the coat/legs armors.

Of course you'd give up cantrips in the process, but it would make the market for things like amuli, celdon, koujia, and sleeves more valuable.
