Turbine Community Update 4/22/10
Now that we’ve unveiled our big announcement, it’s time to share a little more detail about what this means to you, our players.

Many of you have asked what this means for your game experience. The simple answer is that we don’t expect much to change for the foreseeable future. We remain committed to each of our games as we move forward. This change in corporate ownership is not expected to affect our current product portfolio. We’re still the company that brings you AC, DDO, and LOTRO.

Most importantly, not only do we remain fully committed to our core franchises but will seek to grow them aggressively going forward. We’re looking forward to putting our newfound muscle behind your favorite games as we grow into our new role within the WB family of companies.

Overall, this change is a great thing for Turbine. We’re excited for the future of our games and we hope you’ll share the excitement with us in the months and years ahead.

Just kidding, I think that this is a good thing for Turbine. I didn't really doubt this for a second, like I said before...Turbine shutting down the game that MADE them who they are?!?!?! Probably not in the cards...and actually, I would go so far as to say that maybe this whole "aggressive" approach with their games actually means AC will make even bigger strides in technology and gameplay.

Thing i dont get it why didnt you just say WB wasnt going to intefere with the AC operations in the first announcement? Seems stupid not mentioning only to get people freaked out including me. was for a bit slightly confusing as to WHAT big anoucement he was talking about.

then i realized (may hve entered with looking at the main page with it's news flash about yesterday's buy out info) he was speaking about how you all are now OFFICALLY Loony Toon employees.

While it is good to hear you will be flexing your new found muscle it would be nice to hear something slightly more concrete. What I am getting at is does this mean a graphics and ui upgrade or just patches will continue? I am hoping for a client overhaul because this game would attract so many players to try it.

Great news, glad I was staying optimistic

Honestly, I'm just hoping (and expecting) that the game will NOT change from the direction it's moving in now. It's understandable that many players are having a little freak out fest, but unless there's a massive conspiracy to dethrone Asheron, I don't see the Devs wasting all their time and effort planning out content for an entire year or more only to have the plug pulled.
